Looking back, I think I chose this book because the title sounded dramatic. I stumbled on a jewel.

Ettore is the owner of a brothel in Athens at a time when it was the center of civilization. Ettore's Women is the story of his acquisition of three slaves, and of each of the three women's initiations into his house.

Her father sold Alessia to Ettore to satisfy a debt. Alessia fears Ettore and dreads her first night in his house, which coincides with the end of the wrestling games in honor of Hercules. She has seen the wrestlers and found the sight disturbing. Alessia reluctantly prepares for the coming night under the threat of being forcefully prepared if she does not.

Daria is a woman of good family who flees to Ettore to escape wedding the man her parents had chosen for her. Her promised husband has no passion for her. She fears a life of loneliness. Unlike Alessia, whom she prepares for her first night, Daria happily has remained with Ettore for two years.

Argeia is a Spartan woman captured in the Athens-Spartan war. In Sparta, women are taught to fight, as well as to read and write. Argeia feels contempt for the women of Athens. She has fought and injured the Athenian soldiers bringing her to Athens, and she arrives in chains. She did not allow the soldiers to take her, and she is determined that she will not be taken after she arrives at Ettore's house. Ettore chooses to initiate her himself, and he does so by allowing her to fight him.

Ettore's Women is a beautifully written and perhaps deliberately fragmented story of women who work in a brothel. Terri Pray's voice fascinates me. I want to read more. I want to be enchanted again.

Xantriana is the youngest daughter of Lord Valer and the only daughter of the late Lady Quilieinea of the Silver Woods. Riana is half fae on the side of her mother. Riana’s half sister Arinnana hates her, believing that she replaced her in Lord Valer’s affections. Riana has always been indulged, allowed to run wild in the forests and fields. However, Riana’s precious freedom is about to end and she’s not happy about it. Her father has declared that Riana is to wed.

Prince Rhodan is the heir to the Dragon Throne and bonded to the Lady Orent, Blood Royal to the Blacks. They are inseparable. With this close bond, the two of them can communicate mind to mind across distance, sometimes this proves to be an inconvenience to Rhodan, but Orent has no such qualms since it allows her to freely offer advice at any time. Until now, Rhodan has always had the freedom to do what he wants and to be with the women he wants now his father has commanded him to find a bride and Rhodan’s angry. During a birthday ball, which Lord Valer arranges for Riana, Rhodan becomes instantly attracted to Riana’s silver blonde hair and beautiful face, however it is her fiery spirit that captivates him. Riana, too, finds herself enthralled by the Dragon Prince. This angers her because she doesn’t understand what is happening to her since she’s never been attracted to a man before. I love the way Rhodan and Orent verbally spar with each other. It had me laughing. However, it was the way they deeply cared for one another, which made me love them both. Riana is sweet and caring, but no ones fool. Terry Pray has spun a tale that was impossible for me to put down until the very end. The Dragon Prince is one book that I will keep to read again. I loved this story and from the beginning to the end.

Princess Xantriana, known to all as Rianna, was fit to be tied. Her father, King Valer, was planning to marry her off. Rianna didn’t understand that her father wanted only to protect her. Rianna’s sister Arinnanna was jealous of her and if the King were to die, she would have control over Rianna’s fate. King Valer couldn’t let that happen.

Princes Rhodan heir to the Dragon Throne wasn’t ready for marriage either, but one look at Rianna and his thoughts turned to just that. Before Prince Rhodan can stake a claim on Rianna, Arinnanna kidnaps her.

Now bound and gagged, Rianna has no idea where she’s headed. So she stays quite for fear of what Captain Cluiun, a well-known pirate might do. Rianna knows who is behind her kidnapping, but can’t understand why her own sister would do this to her? Rianna prays for rescue and a chance to get even with her sister Arinnanna.

Will she be able to escape before she is sold into slavery?

Terri Pray welcomes the reader to a world of imagination and fantasy, with sorcery and dragons and where magic, both good and evil, resides. Prince Rhodan is a royal brat. He didn’t want marriage, to anyone. Princess Xantriana wasn’t in the mood herself; she enjoyed her freedom too. Until they met, then sparks fly between the two. Before Rhodan can think straight, Rianna is kidnapped and Rhodan is put in the dugong, accused of her abduction. Did Rhodan kidnap Rianna, or were dark forces at work here? Ms. Pray’s, book, Dragon Prince, is definitely an adventure you will want to take. It is exciting, funny, and well written. There is a humorous side to the story and when you meet Lady Orent you’ll see what I mean. She had me laughing more than once. Be sure and get a copy of this new book Dragon Prince by Terri Pray. This book is fantastic. I'm so glad I got a chance to read it. Evil, jealousy and more combine to make this story wonderful. Terri did a wonderful job with the worldbuilding and leaves you wanting more.

Riana knows that one day she must marry. Yet, she wants no man. Well no man until she meets Prince Rhodan, the one her older sister seeks to wed. Life goes wild as jealousy overtakes sense. Even as Riana grows to learn herself, things are never to be the same in this world. The Lord of Vengeance seeks a toehold in this land and will use whatever means necessary to do so.

I won't tell you more, but know this is a great story. I'm looking forward to book 2, Fae Born.

Prince of the blood, heir to the dragon throne, Prince Rhodan is not pleased to once again, at his father’s command, be attending the coming out of another young prospective bride. He his quite content to spend his time winging through the air on the back of the Lady Orent, the black dragon he is bound and telepathically linked to through his blood.

His first meeting with Lord Valer’s youngest daughter Xantrianna, or Rianna, does not portend well for any future relationship. And when Rhodan has a run in with her sister Arianna, the one women he truly wishes to avoid, and learns of his own cousins promise to that women that he will marry her…well, that just tops it off. He escapes to the shore on Orent’s back to pace of his anger at his cousins plotting and to rationalize away his strong reaction to Rianna.

Rianna, born of human and fae blood, is pacing her room, angry at the insolence of Prince Rhodan, and trying to rationalize away her strong reaction to his nearness while they danced. Her sister determined to have Rhodan for her own, has Rianna kidnapped and taken away on a pirate ship.

Rhodan and Orent seek the help of those with the fae blood to find and rescue Rianna, and they will have to battle the pirates who have taken her. That is, if they can find her before she is destroyed by the dark forces called down by Arianna and her mother.

Terri’s Pray’s Dragon Prince is an adventure, romance and delightful fantasy. The Lady Orent adds humorous relief with her witty inner dialogue with the prince and an elegant element of fantasy to this tale of magic and romance. Terri promises a second book to complete the adventures of Rhodan and Rianna. I hope it will be out soon, because like those Saturday Matinee’s this one is a real cliffhanger.

A collection of short spicy poetry and stories by Terri Pray, this rapturous compilation contains nineteen poems and seven short tales of the boudoir. The emotions in the cluster range from honey-sweet to chili-hot. From the humorous “Mad Teenage Love” to the delicious “Carpet Picnic”, from the sighable “The Kiss” to the naughty “Why Sir!”, from the secretive “Winters Fire” to the torturous “ Without Eyes”, the words accurately describe the feeling the author wants to express. Each and every one of the poems and stories is a spunky read. The steamy, sensuous and stimulating words can surely lead the reader to a whole new erotic world!
Terri Pray’s Short Spices is a feast of sensuality! The poems seem to be written right out of Terri’s life, especially the ones on married life. The humour in some of the poems is sure to make you giggle in anticipation. You are also sure to sigh and shiver because of the delectable sinfulness that flows from each and every word. The fervour in the book is provocative and infectious. The eye-catching sketches jell amazingly well with the stories and poems, so well that you actually start missing them towards the end of the book. Definitely do not miss reading this sensual delight and after you do, make sure your husband/lover does too!

Danielle Wind Dancer feels she has the best job in the world as a Park Ranger. She grew up around a National Park and was captivated by all the magnificent beauty that it offered. She was certain her life was perfect until one photographer entered her world and opened her eyes with his photos.

Steven Black is a film photographer for Blue Skies Photography and stakes out the forest where Danielle works. But one moment with her sends a fire in his flesh that no water can quench.

Dani and Steve are instantly attracted to each other when they first meet. After sharing a kiss, things blossom immediately between them. Dani cannot get him out of her mind. When things take a dreadful spin, in the Park, with vandalisms, Dani is certain it stems from the models and something tells her that things could turn deadly if the person is not caught. The unexplained incidents increase and Dani begins to see that Steven’s world is not as pretty as her lovely Park. Still through all the commotion that stirs around them, she feels an irresistible urge toward him that is hard to let go. Now she and Steven must find who is doing all the defacement and why so they can be with each other.

Focused On Love is an absolute page-turner. The poignant heart-tugging characters touch the heart in such a way that it is hard releasing them once the book is finished. Dani and Steven make such a delightful couple and the way they seek to conquer the odds stacked up against them is well-written. Ms. Pray pens a sharp and intense read that keeps the reader mesmerized. She creates an intriguing story with a vivid description of beauty that grabs the reader as the mystery unfolds and hearts discover where true love lies.
