| Ettore’s Women by Terri Pray Genre: Historical Erotica Reviewed by Silver Minx Rating: 5 Nymphs Ettore’s Women is the story of how three very different women became part of Ettore’s family of whores. Alessia was sold to Ettore by her father to pay a debt – earning him more money because of her prized virginity. She is lucky that the first man that claims her is Casimiro. He takes her to a private room and is gentle with her, showing her that sex can be loving and fun. Continuing the story is Daria. She is unusual in that she entered the house of her own free will. Daria ran to Ettore to escape an arranged marriage with a man she had no love for. She is in love with Ettore and will never leave, living for those special times when she is alone with her Master. Argeia is from Sparta where sex is used only for the getting of children. Women have a lot more freedom in Sparta, than in Athens, and Argeia believes Athenians to be barbaric. She is sold on the slave block to Ettore, a victim of the spoils of war. Ettore enjoys her fighting spirit, eventually freeing her sexuality and claiming her. All three women are essentially slaves but there is no real violence involved. Ettore is the owner of a whorehouse who buys slaves and forces them into a life of sex – and yet, Ms Pray makes him likeable. That alone shows her incredible writing talent. He is not portrayed as evil, but rather as a man giving women an alternative lifestyle – even though some do not make that choice willingly. Something about him made me want to crawl into the book and sign up for a bed. Ms Pray captured the atmosphere of an Ancient Greek House of Aphrodite well, and I found myself imagining the setting as I read. This book is not for the fainthearted, it contains scenes of spanking, slavery, and forced seduction. It is scorching hot. Terry Pray is a fantastic writer and I would recommend Ettores’s Women to all lovers of Erotica. I can’t wait for her next book. |
| TERRI PRAY May 2004 ISBN: Not Assigned Terri Pray Books netjoey@bellsouth.net Wicked Castle http://www.wickedcastle.com E-Book $7.95 Erotic Mystery 47 Pages Rating: Terri Pray’s latest romance WINTER’S SWEET KISS is a shocking look at dominance and submission with a good suspense as the background. Newspaper publisher Danielle has taught herself to do anything to get a story. While investigation a series of mysterious deaths, she winds up trying to prove she can handle a bondage lifestyle; and gets spanked butt naked by her childhood friend, Jack, a reporter employed at her paper. Ms. Pray does an excellent job of letting people identify with Danielle who has inherited the paper from a father who made her feel inadequate. All of Danielle’s past relationships have been with men who liked her for what she could provide to their careers. This is not the case with Jack, who is the kind of man who knows he is a dominant, but is willing to open himself to Danielle. He wants a relationship with Danielle. He works to help her be what he needs and what he hopes she wants to be. It was wonderful to watch Danielle make life altering decisions based on her desires, not those of the men around her, while never completely shutting out Jack. WINTER’S SWEET KISS is not for the faint of heart. This is an up-front novel about those who choose a dominance/submission lifestyle. The dialogue is good and help readers follow the subplot! s of jealousy and murder. All background characters remain subdued and give the story good depth while the main focus remains Danielle and Jack. This is a really good book, especially for anyone who likes spankings and dominant men; for them WINTER’S SWEET KISS is a definite keeper. So imagine her fascination when a tree sprite appears in her garden. Gwinna is a Dryad, better known as a sprite. She is supposed to be a myth, but is very real and feels a connection to Lily. GREEN DREAMS is a definite turn of pace for the average reader and interesting to those of us that are used to erotica. The story line does involve two women, one human and one a sprite. The story is very sensual and is a short read. I found the book interesting and it's a quick read.
